Several years ago, we experienced the devastating loss of cherished possessions due to an unforeseen event. Beyond the emotional impact, we quickly realized how challenging it was to provide proof of what we had owned. That experience opened our eyes to how unprepared most people are when it comes to protecting their belongings.
From that moment, our mission became clear to help others avoid the stress, frustration, and uncertainty that comes with not having a proper record of their valuables. Today, we provide professional video inventory services that give you peace of mind, knowing your assets are documented, protected, and ready to be verified whenever life takes an unexpected turn.

In June 2023, I lost my home in Charleston, SC, to a devastating fire. The structure was covered by insurance, but what I didn’t realize was how difficult it would be to prove what I owned inside that home. Every drawer, every piece of furniture, every tool, they all had to be accounted for, and I had no way to verify most of them.
The process of rebuilding my possessions from memory was overwhelming, painful, and expensive. Months later, I watched a close friend go through a similar experience during Hurricane Helene. That’s when I realized I could help others avoid the same hardship, and “Picture This … by Jim” was born.
